Early childhood education is the most important phase in a child's development. It is where children socialize outside the family unit and where the foundation of the child's personality and knowledge is built. Our program is inspired by important elements, these being active learning, development of comprehension skills, communication and writing in English.
At Maple Bear Elementary, students learn creatively in two languages, developing bilingual proficiency. The immersive classroom activities support the cognitive, physical, emotional, and social development process. Maple Bear students are exposed to interactive experiences that put into practice the learning acquired in the classroom.
At Maple Bear, children learn through exploration, experimentation, and conversation. The Canadian methodology is also play-based. This approach goes beyond exposing them to content, it allows for experiences and interactions to be part of the child’s routine. Playing helps develop the child’s emotional, intellectual, physical and social worlds.
During the elementary years, students start playing a role of leadership that is encouraged since they join Maple Bear. In addition, they will nurture skills such as character, citizenship, collaboration, communication, and empathy.
Canada's education system consistently ranks among the best in the world in the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA).
Canada excels not only in studies in the English language, but is also a world leader in bilingual education, and an inclusive, multicultural country. All essential aspects for the education of the leaders of the future.
